GE's latest business news involves an independent organization for  the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT).

Following the recent sale of some of its automation hardware products to Emerson, GE has announced plans to launch a new Industrial Internet of Things organization by combining its GE Digital, GE Power Digital and Grid Software Solutions businesses.
