Keysight Technologies has contributed 5G and IoT device research to the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) that it believes will help accelerate adoption of the recently released USB4 specification. The research covered a wide range of products, including smartphones, laptops, desktop computers, tablets, and digital cameras, that could rely on the next-generation high-speed digital standard.
Keysight is also offering a portfolio of high-speed digital instrumentation to boost the adoption of the USB4 standard, including its UXR real-time oscilloscope, Vector Network Analyzers, and integrated Bit Error Ratio Testers, which the company described as a critical capability in physical layer characterization, validation and compliance testing.
"USB-IF establishes close industry collaborations with its member companies, such as Keysight, that support the deliery of high-performance USB solutions, while ensuring their reliability, ease-of-use and quality," said Jeff Ravencraft, president and COO of USB-IF. "Keysight's support will help facilitate the adoption of the USB4 standard and accelerate the market introduction of certified USB4 products."
