ManTech International [MANT] on Thursday said it has acquired Minerva Engineering, a company that provides various cyber services to the intelligence community.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Minerva's leadership will remain with the company.
Minerva, which is based in Maryland near the headquarters of U.S. Cyber Command and the National Security Agency, has capabilities in risk and vulnerability assessment, incident response, cyber intrusion detection, wireless signal discovery, information technology services, and research and development.
The company also provides services to the Defense Department for assessing vulnerabilities in weapons systems and DoD critical infrastructure, it says on its web site.
ManTech said the deal expands its cyber defense capabilities within the intelligence community and adds new customers, new past performance qualifications and mission-critical contracts, and more cyber security expertise.
"ManTech has a well-established reputation as a leader of full-spectrum cyber capabilities," Kevin Phillips, chairman, president and CEO of ManTech, said in a statement. "The addition of Minerva Engineering is highly complementary and further builds upon our differentiated cyber offering, delivering more to our customers while positioning us for continued growth."
ManTech's financial adviser on the deal was G Squared Capital Partners.
