[Via Satellite 05-11-2016] OHB SE is forming a subsidiary in Bregenz, Austria that will specialize in satellite communications, particularly those related to Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) communications. Named M2M Europe Network & Solutions, the subsidiary will harness the experience of OHB SE, its investments in Orbcomm Germany and Orbcomm Europe, and OHB Logistics Solutions. The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) is supporting OHB SE in forming the new subsidiary.
M2M Europe will be integrating the business of Orbcomm Germany and Europe, and marketing existing Orbcomm products as well as its own products and services across the continent. These include, for example, truck and cargo tracking and monitoring as well as the monitoring of stationary machinery without a fixed-line Internet connection.
