Parsons Corp. [PSN] on Tuesday said it has received a task order from the General Services Administration to provide cyber protections to U.S. space assets.
The value of the contract and the end customer weren't disclosed. A company spokesman said the task order is a "strategic win" for Parsons, adding new work and expanding its growth in the space domain.
"Our rapid, scalable cyber solutions provide end-to-end capabilities and protect national space assets from cyber intrusion as space becomes a more contested battlefield," Robert Miller, senior vice president of Business Development, Cyber & Intelligence for Parsons, said in a statement.
Under the award, Parsons said it will provide secure and resilient architecture development, systems engineering and integration, secure communications, and cyber risk and threat assessment for weapon systems and special security capabilities.
Deloitte and Booz Allen Hamilton [BAH] also bid for the task order.
The award has a one-year base period and four one-year options.
