The U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center and Robins Air Force Base in Georgia wants its Bell Helicopter UH-1Ns to have health and usage monitoring systems (HUMS). Tyonek Global Services has won a contract to deliver services for the integration.
"We are extremely pleased to support the US Air Force, SOF/PR on this high value program. This work allows us to leverage interrelated capabilities in engineering and aviation-qualified product manufacturing with our modification installation services facility," said Steve Adlich, president of Tyonek Services Group. "By having comprehensive capabilities in house, we are able to support the entire program and provide our customers with a cost-effective, end-to-end solution."
Tyonek said engineering design and A Kit manufacturing would be performed at its manufacturing facility in Madison, Alabama. Verification and validation efforts would be performed at the company's aircraft modification facility, located at the Stennis International Airport in Mississippi. Contract field teams would perform fleet modifications, both on and off the continental U.S.
